Funding opportunities for Graduate and Undergraduate students
PROVOST’S UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (PUF)
Encourages UC Davis undergraduates to carry out an independent research or creative project under the guidance of a UC Davis faculty member. Funding is made available to meet direct costs associated with projects.
THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA EDUCATION ABROAD PROGRAM (UCEAP)
Offers undergraduate research awards annually in each of three disciplinary areas: the humanities, social sciences, and sciences and engineering. Each award consists of a $1,000 stipend. distinguished themselves through their excellence in research conducted while abroad on EAP and to encourage other students to become involved in research efforts abroad.
DUTTENHAVER SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Makes awards available for EAP students who will participate in a year-long EAP program. EAP and the donor, Linda Duttenhaver, value the benefits that come with a year-long program and want to encourage and assist students who are considering this option. This year more than 30 awards of $5,000 will be disbursed based on academic performance and financial need. Applicants must have a passion for studying abroad and a willingness to embrace and learn from the host country's customs, language, and culture.
BOREN AWARDS
Winners receive up to $20,000 to study abroad within specified countries and to study language. Winners receive up to $8,000 for a summer study abroad, $10,000 for a semester outside of summer, and $20,000 for a full year study abroad program.
HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Was founded in 1975, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to Latino students, as well as related support services. HSF seeks to give students all the tools they need to apply to college, do well in their course work, graduate, enter a profession, excel, help lead our nation going forward, and mentor the generations to come.
