Conversations with Latin American Authors: Gore Capitalism by Sayek Valencia 

Activist scholar Sayek Valencia ( El Colegio de la Frontera Norte, Tijuana) discusses her book, Gore Capitalism. Valencia contends that violence constitutes a new commodity within the current hyper-consumerist stage of capitalism. The writer and translator Irmgard Emmelhainz will comment and Cheyla Samuelson (San José State University) will moderate.
